Mahama will deal with Wontumi for selling off forest land to illegal miners and collecting weekly chop money- Sammy Gyamfi hints

Things are heating up! NDC’s Communications Director, Sammy Gyamfi, has taken to social media. He called out NPP’s Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako—aka Chairman Wontumi. The reason is the illegal mining activities.

In a fiery post on social media, Sammy shared a documentary showing the damage allegedly caused by Akonta Mining (linked to Wontumi) in Samreboi. The visuals?

Sh0cking. Polluted water bodies, ravaged forest reserves—heartbreaking stuff.

He didn’t mince words either: “The day of reckoning for Chairman Wontumi and his ilk has come. @JDMahama means business. Together with well-meaning Ghanaians, we shall win the fight against illegal mining and preserve our environment.”

This comes just as the Lands Minister has ordered the revocation of Akonta Mining’s licence, citing claims that the company was selling off forest land to illegal miners and collecting weekly royalties.
